Not Easy Being Me!

Not Easy Being Me
So Mum and Dad what can I said
I grow and change now everyday
Trying to find out who I am and where I fit in
Looking for answers but where do I begin
You see these changes in me and yet you still don’t understand
Its support I need right now not that back of your hand

The secrets of the spiritual heart

Very few people understand the heart. In truth, your heart is one of the masterpieces of creation. It is a phenomenal instrument. It has the potential to create vibrations and harmonies that are far beyond the beauty of pianos, strings or flutes. You can hear an instrument, but you feel your heart. And if you think that you feel an instrument, it’s only because it touched your heart. Your heart is an instrument made of extremely subtle energy that few people come to appreciate. In most human beings, the heart does its work unattended. Even though its behaviour governs the course of our lives, it is not understood. If at any given point in time the heart happens to open, we fall in love. If at any given point in time it happens to close, the love stops. If the heart happens to hurt, we get angry, and if we stop feeling it altogether, we get empty. All of these different things happen because the heart goes through changes. These energy shifts and variations that take place in the heart run your life. You are so identified with them that you use the words “I” and “me” when you refer to what’s going on in your heart. But in truth, you are not your heart. You are the experiencer of you heart. Extract – Michael A Singer Image – Janet O’Halloran

Imagine

Extra from The Four Agreements – Don Miguel Ruiz Using your imagination and your eyes of perception, I want you to see yourself living a new life, a new dream, a life where you don’t need to justify your existence and you are free to be who you really are. Imagine that you have permission to be happy and to really enjoy your life. Your life is free of conflict with yourself and others. Imagine living your life without fear of expressing your dreams. You know what you want, what you don’t want and when you want it.  You are free to change your life the way you really want to. You are not afraid to ask for what you need, to say yes or no to anything or anyone. Imagine living your life without the fear of being judged by others. You no longer rule your behaviour according to what others may think about you. You are no longer responsible for anyone’s opinion. You have no need to control anyone, and no one controls you, either. Imagine living your life without judging others. You can easily forgive others and let go of any judgments that you have. You don’t have the need to be right, and you don’t need to make anyone else wrong. You respect yourself and everyone else, and they respect you in return. Imagine living without the fear of loving and not being loved. You are no longer afraid to be rejected, and you don’t have the need to be accepted. You can say “I love you” with no shame or justification. You can walk in the world with you heart completely open and not be afraid to be hurt.

Go Make Ruckus – By Seth Godin

I thought I would share this with you. Go Make a Ruckus – written by Seth Godin You Are Not Your Career. Your ability to follow instructions is not the secret to your success. You are hiding your best work, your best insight, and your best self from us every day. We know how much you care, and it’s a shame that the system works overtime to push you away from the people and the projects you care about. The world does not owe you a living, but just when you needed it, it has opened the door for you to make a difference. It’s too bad that so much time has been wasted, but it would be unforgivable to wait any longer. You have the ability to contribute so much. We need you, now.  – Go make a Ruckus

Fix Your Course to a Star

From the book ‘How to Think Like Leonardo da Vinci’ – by Michael J Gelb ‘The most carefully crafted strategies rarely work out exactly according to plan. But the best improvisers do not just “wing it” they start with a well-made plan and then adapt gracefully to changing circumstances.  You are the captain of your own ship, but you can’t control the weather. Sometimes life brings us smooth sailing; other times we get squalls, hurricanes, and tsunamis.  Leonardo counselled, “He who fixes course to a start changes not.” Fix your course to a star, and be ready to navigate through storms and around uncharted icebergs.’

Thinking Outside the Box

Why is it that when organizations ask its employees to think outside the box, they continue to confine them in a box? Organisations who are demanding creativity, innovation and new thinking need to focus on the environment and condition they create for thinking outside the box.  Both in physical and organizational structures.  Look around you and take notice of what is important to you.   Your values, do they align with the organisational practiced values? Do you like your working environment and culture?   Does your environment lead to thinking out the box and learning?
