While sitting having breakfast with Nora along passed two men in their little golf buggy. Eying the Shebeen up and down one of them said, “You’re a long way from home”.
“Yes from Ireland,” replied Nora.
“Oh my mother was from county Cork,” he added.
“Did she talk funny?” Nora asked.
No she didn’t, she moved to England when she was 4 years old, he replied.
“Well that would take the funny out of her,” said Nora.
